Skiing options in and near Leavenworth are practically everywhere! Many of our Homes offer storage areas and washer dryers which can be very helpful to avid skiers.

Leavenworth abounds with trails and terrain for Nordic skiers of all types. Cross-country skiing is a very pleasant way to travel and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Skate skiing is a much more active version if you dare. We have listed a few popular areas but there are many more. Come and explore miles of new terrain.

Sledding or tubing is a wintertime favorite for young and old. We suggest a few of the local spots that are recognized as sledding or tubing areas. Please no sledding in posted areas and always use your best judgment when tubing or sledding to avoid injury.

Enjoy a peaceful ride through Ponderosa pines and snow filled meadows. Both daytime and night time rides are available. Put on some warm mittens and enjoy some of Leavenworth`s scenery at it`s finest. Leavenworth offers multiple sleigh ride companies with varying times of operation.

The surrounding Leavenworth foothills and mountains offer thousands of acres of snowmobiling territory. The terrain can vary greatly to challenge the most experienced riders to provide a safe and fun experience for novice riders and their families. Need room for trailers and large groups? A great way for the entire family to enjoy some fun and exercise in the snow. Snowshoes are very simple to use and the many trails surrounding Leavenworth are waiting to be explored.
